Do You See What I See? ....

I have to say, I saw this lamp at a local thrift store and got a little excited!  I have a vision of this lamp looking really cool...can't wait...hope it turns out like I see it in my head....otherwise, it's parts; which are also pretty cool.

I'm a little torn; the muse on one shoulder wants me to just keep the base "as is" and give it a really cool shade and the other muse wants me to deconstruct it and see what I can do with all the different parts?

Tell me what you think....should I?  or shouldn't I?
